12 Tags of 2012: Tag April 2012

Hello bloggers,
This is going to be a short post. It's my birthday and within a few minutes my guests are coming. Later this evening I will post some more pictures and how I made this tag. This tag is my entry for 12 Tags of 2012 April Challenge of Tim Holtz, the Master of Distress.

I'm back again. I followed Tim's instructions mostly. Here and there I made some improvisations or changes.

I used the Caged Bird Die and I made a real nice cage with Sternenstaub Embossingpowder from Hein Design, but later I thought that I better leave the cage out, it was too much. And you couldn't see the stamping under the bird. So I embossed the little branch under the bird with Sternenstaub.
The crown was made by stamping with silverpaint first and Archival Ink second.
I used the stripes embossing folder because I found they are like rays of sunshine and they fit perfectly with the stamp "The Journey awakens the Soul" from Stampers Anounymous.
The colours of the Distress Inks are really nice and so were my fingers yesterday, but I got som industrial soap from my husband and all went off.
